Kyle Jones

Mr. Jones is a Vice President and Principal of Rostan and has been with the firm since June 2018. Mr. Jones directs and manages the Consulting Services of Rostan, which comprises the Disaster Recovery, Hazard Mitigation, Preparedness, Insurance Advisory and Project Management Business Lines. Mr. Jones began his career in 2003 at the Louisiana Military Department-Office of Emergency Preparedness (now the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness – GOHSEP). In 2007 he left State Government to lead and manage the Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation Programs for East Baton Rouge Parish, overseeing $150MM+ in federal grants funding. In 2014 Mr. Jones left the public arena to pursue opportunities via his own firm and later work with a global environmental and water management firm, Arcadis. In 2018 Mr. Jones joined his three (3) current partners at Rostan and has been an integral part of the tremendous growth of the firm. Mr. Jones’ unparalleled experience in emergency management, FEMA Public Assistance, Hazard Mitigation and federal cost recovery programs encompasses more than 50 declared disasters spanning all nine (9) FEMA Regions. He has managed more than $1B+ in federal disaster recovery funding for numerous clients.

Mr. Jones specializes in representing FEMA eligible applicants, specifically local government entities, after a disaster. After a disaster strikes a local community, time is money….and Kyle’s local government background, combined with his ability to help clients navigate the Federal regulations and policies is a key differentiating element amongst other firms. Kyle possesses the ability to strategically position clients for the most advantageous funding opportunity available and to deliver results with a sense of urgency, while rebuilding damaged infrastructure to a more resilient standard. Kyle’s managed numerous types of natural and man-made disasters on the State, Local, and Private Sector Levels. Including the Space Shuttle Columbia Crash, Hurricanes, Severe Flooding, Tornados, Pandemics and Winter Weather Storms. His credentialed background is the perfect fit for any organization who has suffered a significant financial loss as a result of a disaster.

What is the biggest accomplishment of your professional Career?

What is something that most people may not know about Kyle? 

Without knowing him personally, you may not know that Kyle was the State of Louisiana, Class C, Most Valuable Player for Basketball in 2001, earned First Team All-State Honors in 2000, 2001, and 2002, was a McDonald’s High School All-American Honorable Mention Nominee in 2002 (out of 1500 high school seniors nationally). Immediately following his high school graduation, Kyle was selected to play in the Louisiana High School Coaches Association Boys’ All-Star Basketball Game for the East Squad and then received an invitation to play oversees in the Gold Coast, Australia for a brief stent in 2002 with Down Under Sports, Inc. While in Australia, he was selected as the MVP of League Play for his team, the Aussie Tornadoes.
